The Morrow County Sentinel is a historic weekly community newspaper based in Mt. Gilead, Ohio, that has served as the paper of record and primary local news source for Morrow County since 1848. Originally established as The Whig Sentinel, the publication underwent a name change around 1860 and has since anchored itself as the longest-running active news outlet in the county seat. Following nearly a decade under the corporate umbrella of AIM Media Midwest, the newspaper officially transitioned to new ownership under West Virginia-based HD Media LLC on September 1, 2026.
